The Good Gifting Guide: Gifts that Soothe

We’re sorry to be sending so many ‘Get Well Soon’ parcels lately, but we’re happy that we can help you to show your friends, family and colleagues that you care.

You've given us such lovely feedback about our care packages and how they have made your loved ones feel better, so we asked Claire from our gift team to share her top 5 ideas for soothing a poorly patient.

Tea
It’s a truly British thing but you just can't beat a cup of tea… and with a selection of soothing Swedish blends including fruit and herbal infusions, these can really warm the soul.

Honey
Pop a spoonful of our organic Nordic honey into a cup of hot tea or juice and this one really helps with sore throats, coughs and colds.  Plus it takes the chills away and did you know that honey has amazing antibacterial properties!

Biscuits or sweet stuff
A little pick-me-up in the form of some sugar never did any harm… and it’s great when your energy is flagging or you’re off your food.  We love our soft bourbon biscuits and of course any bar of smooth Love Cocoa chocolate is a great thing to keep to yourself!

A Good Book
The gift of a good read is always a welcome escape especially when you’re stuck indoors without distraction. We’ve got a great selection of best-selling literature, both fact and fiction depending on the mood.

Supersoft Socks
When you’ve got your feet up, you can't beat a luxurious sock to feel like you’re giving yourself a bit of a treat.  Our best-selling alpaca bed socks are always a winner and we also have some ultra-breathable bamboo socks for guys too.

Other things to note: If you’re sending to a person’s home where they may be resting-up, we can add a note on your parcel for the postman to leave it in the porch or another safe place so they can collect it when they are ready.

If you’re sending a gift to a hospital, please make sure you add the ward name or number to be sure we can direct your parcel to the right place.
